Strawberry Tiramisu

Recipe

It's strawberry season and what better way to showcase them than with tiramisu! We use the dark strawberry balsamic and the espresso balsamic for this recipe.

Serving: About 9

Ingredients :

  • 500g mascarpone cheese or 250g cream cheese at room temperature
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp. teaspoon of vanilla
  • ¼ cup espresso balsamic
  • 24 ladyfingers cookies
  • 5 cups of strawberries
  • 1 oz grated dark or bittersweet chocolate
  • 15ml strawberry balsamic

Ingredients :

  • 500g mascarpone cheese or 250g cream cheese at room temperature
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp. teaspoon of vanilla
  • ¼ cup espresso balsamic
  • 24 ladyfingers cookies
  • 5 cups of strawberries
  • 1 oz grated dark or bittersweet chocolate
  • 15ml strawberry balsamic

Preparation

  1. Simmer 3 cups of strawberries with 25ml of strawberry balsamic without lid.
  2. Once cooked, crush the strawberries to make jam.
  3. Remove a little strawberry juice if there is too much and let cool.
  4. Mix the cheese, sour cream, vanilla and sugar with an electric mixer.
  5. Brush the biscuits with the espresso balsamic. If you have children, you can dilute the balsamic slightly with water.
  6. Cover the bottom of an 8″x8″ pan with the cookies.
  7. Add half of the cheese and sour cream mixture, then spread the previously cooled strawberry jam.
  8. Add another layer of biscuits, the rest of the cheese and sour cream mixture, then decorate with the grated chocolate.
  9. Finish with a layer of fresh strawberries cut in half.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours.

Keeps for 2 days.
You can place strawberries and raspberries on the top tier.
